OK. I have concluded that ALL big cities suck and are not worth visitng. I drove through Boston today, and it was exactly what i expected New York to be, so i high-tailed it out of there as quickly as possible (which, ironically, was not very quickly at all). Now, i'm on the road to Lubec, Maine (which, by my supposition, is the eastern-most city in the U.S.), which has been an adventure so far. The road i was taking was closed, so i followed this elderly couple until they stopped at a restaurant where i asked them for directions, and they presumably ate dinner. I've been having a lovely time tearing through the country road in the dark since then, but i made a wrong turn, so i pulled into a Wal*Mart parking lot to try and figure out where i was. I succeeded, but with the fog rolling in, i decided it would probably be a good time to stop.
